About Zecord
A privacy-first NFT marketplace built on Zcash Shielded Assets. Issue, trade and verify digital assets without exposing who holds what.
Why it exists
Every NFT marketplace you have used has a side effect nobody asked for: it publishes you. Your collection, what you paid, when you sold, what is left in your wallet — permanently, to anyone who types your address into a box.
That was never a feature. It was a limitation everyone learned to call transparency.
Zcash is the one chain where privacy is the default rather than an add-on. Zecord is what collecting looks like when you build on it — without giving up the ability to prove anything.
How we build
Private by default
Payments settle in shielded ZEC. There is no public holder list, no portfolio page for strangers, and nothing to scrape. What you own is yours to disclose.
Verified, never assumed
A transaction id from a browser proves nothing, and we treat it that way. Every payment is checked against the chain — amount, reference, confirmations — before anything is assigned.
Provable without trust
Every item's artwork and metadata were hashed into one Merkle root and committed on-chain before the first sale. Anyone can re-derive it. You do not have to believe us.
Nothing we cannot honour
Features ship when they work. What is built and waiting is described as built and waiting; what does not exist yet is not promised as if it did.
Where the money goes
Every fee and every zatoshi raised from minting goes to two places: back to Zecord holders, and into building Zecord.
There is no team allocation, and that is deliberate. We did not reserve a slice for ourselves before the mint. If the team wants Zecords, the team buys them on the open market — same queue, same price, same risk as everyone else.
Part of the treasury is for exactly that: buying back from the market. It absorbs sell pressure, and it means the team’s position is bought rather than granted. Anything the treasury buys is held by the treasury, not distributed to insiders.
